Connecting, Collaborating, and Creating a Positive Impact Together.

The One Young World Summit Bangkok 2015 was a truly life-changing experience.

Not only did the guest speakers provide motivation through their passionate talks, my fellow delegates from all over the world were also a source of so much inspiration.

My experiences at One Young World made me realize that change is possible, and that young people must be at the forefront of positive change. It made me re-assess my life direction, and has inspired me to create a bigger impact. In fact, I hope to start my own social enterprise in the near future.

I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to connect with inspirational, passionate, and like-minded young people from literally every corner of the world. Although we all have different educational, professional, cultural, and religious backgrounds, we are all united by a common vision: to create a better world for all.

The One Young World Summit serves as the ideal platform to discuss today’s most pressing challenges from a truly international and inter-disciplinary perspective. Young leaders, each with fresh ideas and different areas of expertise, came together in Bangkok to find solutions to real-world problems.

For me, this is what One Young World is all about; connecting, collaborating, and creating a positive impact together.

At the One Young World Summit in Bangkok, I also had the honour of joining young leaders from every country in the world in addressing our Heads of Government, calling for them to take serious action on climate change in the run up to the 2015 Paris Climate Conference (COP21).

The “Call on COP” campaign, supported by One Young World Counsellors including former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, Unilever CEO Paul Polman and philanthropist Sir Bob Geldof, gained global media coverage and sent a strong message to our leaders: no more excuses – the time for action is now.

Thanks to my experiences at One Young World, I am hopeful for our future, and am even more motivated to create positive change in both Japan and beyond.

Thank you so much to our corporate sponsor, Evertron, and everyone else who has worked so hard to make this possible. I cannot thank you enough for your kindness.

Having had this incredible opportunity, I am even more driven to give back to society, and will utilize my experiences at the One Young World Summit to continue making an impact.
